Disabled Veterans

The Disabled Veterans program provides a market value exclusion for property tax purposes for the homestead property of an honorably discharged veteran who has a service-connected disability rating of 70% or higher, as determined by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.

The annual verification letter from the Veteran’s Administration must accompany the application. 

Qualifying veterans who are 70% disabled or more are eligible for a maximum exclusion of $150,000. Qualifying veterans who are 100% disabled are eligible for a maximum $300,000 market value exclusion.

Complete the application and attach all proper documentation. Send the application and required documentation by December 15th of the current year to be eligible for exclusion in the next payable tax year in one of the following ways:
