Fishing
There are 63 lakes or bodies of water within Le Sueur County, along with the Minnesota River, providing some of the best fishing that you will find in southern Minnesota. Whether fishing from shore, boat, canoe, or on the ice, you will be able to find plenty of options.
Shore Fishing
- Clear Lake is a 268 acre lake with 550 feet of shoreline within Clear Lake Park and features a floating fishing pier. On Clear Lake you can catch:

- Lake Emily is a 300 acre lake with 1,000 feet of shoreline within Lake Emily Park and features a fishing dock. On Lake Emily you can catch:

- German Lake is a 791 acre lake with a Department of Natural Resources (DNR) floating fishing pier and shoreline that provides shore fishing. On German Lake you can catch:

- Gorman Lake is a 521 acre lake with a dam located in Lake Gorman Park that provides access to shore fishing. On Gorman Lake you can catch:

- East Jefferson Lake is a 684 acre lake with 750 feet of shoreline and a floating fishing pier located at Geldner Saw Mill Park. The shore fishing within the park is a popular spot during the springtime. On East Jefferson Lake you can catch:

- West Jefferson Lake is a 438 acre lake with 3 spots for public shore fishing. Lake Jefferson Fishing Pier has 600 feet of county shoreline and a floating fishing pier. Located on the west side of County Road 15, south of the public access, is 220 feet of county shoreline and a gravel parking lot for shore fishing. The DNR has a floating fishing pier located at the public access. On West Jefferson Lake you can catch:

- The Minnesota River flows along the western boarder of Le Sueur County and features 3 locations to shorefish on county land. Near Kasota, you can access the river to fish on 1,960 feet of county shoreline. Depending on water levels, it may be difficult to access the shoreline. In Ottawa you can fish on 90 feet of township and county shoreline. Southeast of Henderson is Henderson Station River Access and Park, which has 3,000 feet of county owned shoreline.
- Ray's Lake is a 168 acre lake with 3,000 feet of county shoreline between Ray's Lake Park and public access. On Ray's Lake you can catch:

- Sabre Lake is a 258 acre lake with 200 feet of shoreline at the county public access, between the lake and the inflowing Cannon River. On Sabre Lake you can catch:
