Play Areas

While all of the Le Sueur County Parks offer open spaces, woods, streams, and trails for a child to learn and experience how to play in nature, there are county parks that feature specific play areas or playgrounds.

Ney Nature Center

Ney Nature Center features a natural playground or playscape, located just south of the main parking lot. This playground features only natural elements that you can use your outdoor imagination to play with. There are balance beams, structures to climb out of sticks and logs, and logs to crawl under.

Richter Woods Park

Richter Woods Park has a traditional playground that features multiple slides, swings, and other obstacles to keep your children busy. The playground is located just behind the barn.

Lake Washington Regional Park & Campground

Lake Washington Regional Park and Campground features two areas of playground equipment within the campground. Located along the northeast corner of the campground is a traditional playground that features multiple slides, swings, small rock climbing wall, and other obstacles to keep your children busy, with a rubber mulch ground surface. Located in the middle of the campground is a second play area that features a slide, swings, and other play structures.
