Le Sueur County has agreements with Blue Earth County and Scott County to dispose of household hazardous waste (such as paints, stains, varnish, cleaning products, rechargeable batteries, fluorescent bulbs, antifreeze, motor oil, adhesives, and mercury containing items).

Scott County Household Hazardous Waste Facility                                                                            

Located at 588 Country Trail E, Jordan (Country Trail E is MN Hwy 282).

Weather Related Closures: The HHW Facility will likely close without advance notice in the event of bad or dangerous weather (for example, if the National Weather Service issues a Blizzard Warning, Winter Storm Warning, Wind Chill Warning, etc.).  Should that occur, the HHW Facility will then reopen for the next scheduled operational day.   

The facility will be closed in 2023 on the Following Dates: May 27th, July 1st, September 2nd, November 11th, November 23rd, November 25th, and December 23rd, 27th, 28th, and 30th.
