Community Conversations

What is a community conversation?

We'd like to hear about your concerns and interests and wellbeing.  We will be asking for your input on a variety of health topics.  Information gathered will be shared back with community and leaders, with the goal of making progress to improve the communities we serve, working toward better health for all.  Some possible topics include:

  • Mental health and wellbeing
  • Childcare
  • Transportation
  • Substance abuse/misuse
  • Housing
  • Healthy food access
  • Wellness programs
  • Resources for aging community members
  • Safe places to walk, bike or exercise

Meeting Dates and Locations

Le Sueur County Conversations:

  • Wednesday, September, 27th in New Prague at the American Legion Clubroom (Address: 300 Lexington Ave S, New Prague, MN 56071) 6 pm to 7  pm
  • Friday, September 29th Virtual 9 am to 10:30 am
  • Thursday, October 5th  in Le Center at Le Sueur County Clubhouse  (Address: 181 W Minnesota Street Suite #1  Le Center, MN 56057)  6 pm to 7 pm
  • Tuesday, October 10th in Waterville at the Waterville Area Senior Center (Address: 220 Paquin St E, Waterville, MN 56096) 3:30 pm to 5 pm

NOTE: The first two meetings during the last week of September on the 27th and 29th will focus on mental health and well-being. The future meetings will cover topics based off of results from the two meetings in September. The other meetings have potential to cover substance abuse, food access, housing, childcare, wellness programs, transportation, resources for the aging community members, healthy food at convince stores, and safe places to walk, bike, or exercise.
