JEANNE BACHKORA, MONTGOMERY, MN, (APPLICANT\OWNER):

Requests that the County grant a Variance from the Le Sueur County Zoning Ordinance to allow the applicant to reduce the required setback from a State Highway Right-Of-Way (ROW) from 85 feet to 1 foot to accommodate a future detached accessory structure in an Agriculture “A” District.  Property is located in the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4, Section 28, Montgomery Township.  VARIANCE IS FOR ROAD ROW SETBACK.  APPLICATION WAS TABLED AT THE JULY 21, 2022 MEETING.

Request that the County grant a Variance from the Le Sueur County Zoning Ordinance to allow the applicant to reduce the front yard setback to the Township road Right-Of-Way from 65 feet to 48 feet for a proposed garage addition, and reduce the front yard setback to the Township road Right-Of-Way from 65 feet to 62 feet for an existing deck and proposed covered entrance in an Urban/Rural Residential “R1” District.   Property is located in Lanesburgh Highlands, Lot 9, Block E, Section 10, Lanesburgh Township.  VARIANCE IS FOR ROAD ROW SETBACK.

JOEY HULSEBUS, ST PETER, MN, (APPLICANT); JOEY & LAURA HULSEBUS, ST PETER, MN, (OWNER):

Request that the County grant a Variance from the Le Sueur County Zoning Ordinance to allow the applicant to reduce the required setback from a Type 7 wetland from 75 feet to 53 feet to accommodate the installation of a new septic tank in a Special Protection “SP” District, Unnamed Natural Environment “NE” lake.   Property is located in the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4, Section 3, Kasota Township.  VARIANCE IS FOR WETLAND SETBACK.

Board of Adjustment Hearing Procedure:  The Chairman calls the meeting to order, then calls the item to be heard and asks the Applicant or representative present to come to the podium to answer any questions or present any comments.  The Chairman opens the meeting to the public.  Each speaker comes to the podium and states their name for the record prior to making a statement or posing a question.  All questions or comments are to be directed to the board, not the applicant.  After the public comments the Board of Adjustment publicly discusses the information and reviews the findings before making a motion.  All meetings are recorded.
