Offices Partially Open by Appointment Only due to COVID-19


Modification of County Services

As of May 29, 2020

License Bureau

The License Bureau will be offering motor vehicle and driver’s license services beginning Wed. June 3, 2020, from the hours of 8:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.

Please follow the guidelines below:

• We will be doing transactions by appointment only to assist customers. Please click here to setup appointment
(Please use Firefox, Chrome or Safari. Internet Explorer will not work.)
• Limit one person per transaction
• If you are renewing a driver’s license, please pre-apply online Here before coming in.
• When applying for a Real ID or Enhanced ID, if you are missing, or have incorrect documentation, we will not be able to assist you.
• The Real ID deadline has been extended to October 1, 2021.

Administration / Human Resources

Other county offices in the building such as Administration and Human Resources will remain closed. Call 507-357-2251 for assistance.

Ag Inspection

To contact the County Ag Inspector, please call 507-357-8201.
Pesticide Exams are not offered until a future date.

Assessors

The Le Sueur County Assessor’s Office will continue to assist you by phone, email, and/or virtual meetings. Please make appointments for office visits. Call our office at (507) 357-8213 with questions or to make an appointment. Property inspections will be handled on a case by case basis at this time.

Court Administration

We are putting safety protocols in place and hope to open our window to the public on June 8 but no later than June 15. Call our office at 507-357-8260 for questions.

Environmental Services

We are planning on open up to for appointment only meetings. We will allow people up to our counter.

Extension

University of Minnesota Extension's in-person events and on-site visits are suspended until July 1st (as of this writing). However, many of our services can still be conducted via phone, email, or online with our educators. Please call our office at 507-357-8230 and we will strive to assist you. Passport services are not available at this time.

GIS

Parcel and Addressing services (GIS) can be completed electronically, phone or by virtual meetings. If an in-person meeting is necessary arrangements can be made by calling 507.357.8577

Human Services

Human Services staff are available to complete the majority of services through phone, curb side pickup, electronic communications and/or virtual meetings as needed.

Probation

Probation services will continued to be handled through telephone and electronic and or virtual visits. Agent’s can continue to be contacted via their office or cell phones as well as through email. Parks

To contact the Parks Department, please call 507-357-8201.

Lake Washington Regional Park & Campground is open to camping for self-contained units beginning June 1. The Shower House facility is closed until further notice. To make a reservation, please call 507-995-1161.

Clear Lake Park Campground is open on the first come/first serve basis to 4 campsites.

Facility Rentals, including Richter Woods Barn and Lake Washington Community Building are closed through June and will be re-evaluated as future group gathering regulations are announced. We are currently taking reservations for July 1 and beyond, if your rental is cancelled due to COVID-19 Regulations, you will be refunded.

Ney Nature Center is offering a variety of COVID compliant programming, please call 507-357-8580 for more information.

All Parks and Trails are open, the amenities may be limited. Please plan ahead and bring your own hand sanitizer or cleaning wipes if you choose.

Public Health

Public Health programs and services will continue to be provided by phone, electronic and virtual visits. Home health care continues to provide services in the home and referrals are accepted on a case by case basis at this time. Office visits by appointment only. Please call 507-357-8246 for questions, to make an appointment or to make a referral for any of our services.

Recorder

With upcoming relocation, we anticipate reopening on June 8th.

Sheriff

Courts plan to open on the 8th. We will then have the lobby fully open and we will staff a scanning/screening Deputy full time. There will be signage in and around the area concerning social distancing, elevators, etc.

Veterans Services

The Veterans Service Office is available to serve veterans and their families through phone, email, and/or face-to-face visits by appointment. Please call (507) 357-8279 and be sure to leave a message if your call is not answered.
