  2. 2
Henderson Station River Access and Park is located between the banks of the Minnesota River and the tracks of the Union Pacific Railroad in Tyrone Township, 2 miles southeast of Henderson. The 52 acre park sits along nearly 3,000 feet of shoreline, has 1 acre of mowed grass, and the remaining parkland is woods. Within the park is a newly refinished covered picnic shelter that measures 25 feet by 18 feet, along with 2 picnic tables. While you cannot drive directly down to the river, you can walk on the easily accessible 575 foot long pathway from the gate to the river. Parking is located along the gravel entrance road in the park.

River Access

The river access from our park will provide you with lots of areas for shorefishing and a launch point for canoes and kayaks into the Minnesota River. Depending on the water levels, there may also be a rock bar right off of the pathway extending into the river that can provide a relatively easy access to the river.

Ney Nature Center

Henderson Station also located just 600 feet down the road from the 446 acre Ney Nature Center and the start of the Stagecoach Trail. If you travel north a half mile on Henderson Station Road while crossing Highway 19, you will find the Ney Nature Center Mountain Bike Trail.
